10 Months

Ohhh my goodness it's December already. That is insane. Biggest news for me this month: I HAVE MY FLIGHT DEPARTURE DATES FOR CHINA. AHHHHH!! I leave 3 weeks from tomorrow. January 12. 21 days. Oh. My. Freaking. Goodness. I'm freaking out. What if my luggage gets lost? That's mainly my biggest concern. Actually that's like my only concern for some reason. Other than that I'm soooo incredibly excited. But because I've been so focused on China school kinda slacked. But finals are done! YAY. I told my parents that I did well enough on my finals to keep my grades at the grade they were at... So whether you want to look at that in a good or bad way.... I definitely suffered from the "Sophomore Slump" this year. Never taking 17 credits again. It was brutal. haha.

Okay enough about just me. This last month was Thanksgiving! And Christmastime! Chase has been a little down lately, partly because of the holidays and partly because he's been struggling a bit! But he's been better! He really wants to get to the point where he loves his mission, and I can tell he's almost there.

If anyone wants to send him a letter for the holidays I'm sure he'd love it! Here's his address:

9 Months

Yeah it's been 9 months.
I could have had a baby by now Chase has been gone so long.
But I didn't. obviously.
I'm really getting used to him being gone, time is going super fast and I love it.
He's getting a bit homesick, which I hear is pretty common between 8-10 months time. But he's sticking through it! Here's what happened this month in our lives!

He...

got stopped by the cops and almost got deported
was made zone leader
moved to a new area, Acome
got a new companion, Elder Garcia
baptized Jose Ramos
baptized Juan, Celeste, and Franklin
started teaching Soxilt

I...

voted
walked in the Nevada Day Parade
my dad won his election!
dressed up as Sandy from Grease
had the fire alarm go off during a movie.. interesting and annoying
had a girls night party with my roommates

Still going strong! Just 15 months left till we're reunited! And for 6 months, from January- June, I will be in China!!! Time's gonna fly.

8 Months

This month went by the fastest of any other month. For sure. I'm completely overwhelmed with how fast time is going. He's already 1/3 done!! Is it weird that I'm kind of sad with how fast it's going? This is only going to happen once in our lives and it's already 1/3 done! But don't get me wrong, I want him home. Really bad. haha.
 So this month...

He...
got Patty to commit to baptism
started reading the New Testament
brought some investigators to General Conference
was almost kissed by a girl (don't worry, he stopped her, lol)
survived a tropical storm... and an earthquake

I...
sent his anniversary present
went to General Conference
got called as the RS pianist (YAY)
had my midterms.... ugh.
had my family come visit!

This month went by super fast, but was super hard for both of us. I'm just having a hard time with school and dealing with all that. 17 credits was the worst choice ever. haha. And he is having a hard time getting good investigators. He didn't have any baptisms this month. But if there's anyone that can handle that without getting sad about it it's him. But still, prayers for his investigators would be appreciated!

1/3 done.
We can do this.
